As I get older and closer to retirement I´m reminded of situations  I didn´t take into account during my youth. I didn´t expect to be divorced or remarried to become widowed. I didn´t realize that my skin would thin to the point that the slightest bump would cause a purple bruise or tear. When my car was declared a total loss last year after Hurricane Ida I was forced to either function without one or create new debt. The unexpected is well, unexpected – it enters our lives sometimes with a thunderbolt and at other times floats gently down like a feather.

When I first started a career in marketing I noticed there was a foundational question easily overlooked, which is, why does someone do something.

Marketers understand we buy new patio furniture because the old set has rusted or our family has grown. We search for discounts so we can save just enough to fill our car´s gas tank.  But this question, why does someone do something, isn´t limited to marketing. We pray for others and share what we are grateful for to acknowledge how we can bless and are blessed. Through volunteering, we give of ourselves and our time to secure hope within our communities.

We asked ourselves the big question when we established CTC.  Why did we want to do something for veterans? My experience within CTC is that our Love Language is Acts of Service. As a group, we enjoy receiving help and giving help.

This overarching principle within our law firm has translated into making sure our clients receive the compensation they deserve. Limiting our share of an awarded asbestos trust claim to 10% plus expenses can have a huge and positive impact on the lives of those who served our country. Asbestos exposure has a silent impact on mental and physical health as symptoms can take forty-plus years after exposure to appear. Medical complications have a direct impact on financial stability.

Life can be complex, but it is our willingness and desire to do something for veterans that motivates our team. Our efforts are in the background, while you enjoy the client experience and reap the monetary benefits. Let CTC be the unexpected and reliable team to take care of your asbestos trust claim.
